Motto by Hilton HK SoHo: Sustainability Through Smart Technology

Motto by Hilton Hong Kong SoHo is a prime example of a sustainable hotel initiative, which has successfully achieved BEAM Plus EB provisional platinum certification. The hotel focuses on energy-saving and carbon-reduction design, aiming for a low-carbon tourism and sustainable healthy living.

A hotel tour to explore how cutting-edge technologies, including DfMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly), autonomous digital twins, and AI-driven systems, are establishing this project as a new benchmark in sustainable hospitality.

Part One of the building tour begins with Dr. Rosana Wong’s presentation on the sustainability measures embedded in the design of Motto by Hilton Hong Kong SoHo. She will introduce how the project’s design intent - delivering energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and healthier indoor living, is translated into practical building strategies, such as performance-focused envelope and systems integration, responsible material and construction planning, and DfMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly)-enabled efficiency to reduce waste and on-site impact. After the talk, guests will continue on a guided tour of the hotel to see these concepts brought to life.

Part Two of the program will be a sharing by Autodesk Desk on how the use of technology can assist in enhancing the sustainability of the built environment, particularly through design optimization, smarter design planning, and data-driven design optimization.

The tour is jointly organized with The American Institute of Architects HK Chapter and Lighthouse Club Hong Kong.
